Winter Rainbows

We woke up this morning and discovered two rainbows as the sun was rising! One was in the front of the house, and the other was in the back. We've never seen a rainbow in the winter before, so everyone was very excited! They only lasted a few minutes, and were so beautiful with the rising sun, and the new blanket of snow that covered everything! Spencer asked- "Mom-what's Jesus telling us with this rainbow?" Porter thinks it means summer is coming. Let's hope so!

Rexburg Temple!

For over two years now, we have been watching the building and progress of our own temple being built! Two summers ago, we went to the groundbreaking, and Spencer stood in line and was honored to shovel some of the first dirt. Since then, we have driven up to the top of the hill every now and then to see what had been built and added since the last time. We even were able to go and watch as a huge crane lifted the angel Moroni onto the top. And finally, last Monday, we were able to go together as a family to the temple open house...something we've been looking forward to for a long time! The kids were so excited, and it really was neat to be in there together, and take a tour of all the beautiful rooms. There is some beautiful artwork inside, including some paintings with the Grand Tetons. What a great spirit the temple has brought to our town, and what a wonderful beacon of light as we look up on that hill.

Dallin Max

Dallin will be 5 months old on Monday!! He is such a happy fun little guy and growing so fast! He is a great sleeper, has started eating rice cereal,and can roll over. His nicknames are Dallop and Dallywag.
