Bliss
It was such a beautiful sunny day today, we decided to go snow shoeing up Teton Canyon. It was such a gorgeous, clear blue sky, and the Tetons were right there in front of us. We hiked along a ridge for a bit and then roasted hot dogs for dinner. We are so lucky to live so close to beautiful mountains!!!

Holy Cow it's been 7 months!!
Well it seems like just yesterday I was posting that Dallin was 6 months old, and here it is already his 7 month birthday tomorrow!! He is an avid eater...the latest craze with him is picking up cheerios by himself and getting them into his mouth! Recently he has really started to get excited when he sees the dog. He delights us all with his happy disposition. He has a ready smile for any of his siblings who pay him attention...he's just one of the gang now!

Ryan the Iron Man
Yesterday we went cross country skiing up in Kelly Canyon. It was Jackson's first trip! I thought he'd be a pain and pee in the car and try to jump all over every one...But he hopped in and slept the whole way on the floor to and from the canyon. His only offense was passing some very nasty gas. Thank goodness for windows! And when we got there he was really good and just ran along beside us. If we stopped for something, he wouldn't hesitate to plop down all comfy-like right in the middle of the trail and take a break!
I thought you all would enjoy a shot of Ryan skiing. He really would rather take the family than go off by himself, and this is the way he contrived to get it done!!

Will Spring Ever Be Sprung in Rexburg??
This post is for my wonderful cousin Louisa. Jealousy seeps through every bone in my body as I admire and long for your beautiful garden and green grass pictured on your blog! Oh how I long for a bit o ground to show through the depths of snow. Just a little driveway would be nice. It snowed all day today. It finally stopped about an hour ago, while I was helping Ryan get our van unstuck from our driveway. This has got to be the longest winter in my little history of life. The joys of Idaho!
These are pictures of the front and back of our house as of 15 minutes ago. Yes there are icicles...I couldn't get a straight head on view because the snow is so deep in our yard I would have to get out my big ol' boots and sink too my knees!

I Can Fly!
Today Spencers greatest dream came true! Our friend in the ward who has his own plane invited Ryan and the boys to take a ride for an hour! Ryan has always had an interest in flying, and Spencer dreams of being a pilot, so this was so exciting for them! Porter said the funnest part was when they did "roller coasters"...the pilot went up steep, then down and up again. Spencer said the funnest part was when they flew really low over a herd of elk. Sounds like they did some pretty fancy flying moves. By the way...notice in the pictures how much snow we still have left on the ground!!! It's still cold here- in fact, the kids went sledding today! And there are still icicles clinging on for dear life from our roof. However, while the boys went flying, us girls went shopping, and bought summery Easter dresses and sandals. We do have faith that Spring will come!

Cross Country in Teton Canyon
We had a fun time this weekend getting out of the house and into the mountains! The kids and I had a great time....Ryan's experience was a bit more burdensome with Dallin on his back while pulling Kami on the sled!
