All Cooped Up

Well I guess I'd better catch up on all the ongoings of July since the month is over now! Last week was Ryan's first week off and he doesn't have to go back until September! So we are loving having dad around the place more often. The most recent project---

Finally giving those free rangers some boundaries! Since the chickens are Lindsey's responsibility, she was excited to help Ryan plan the coop. She helped him every step of the way. The other kids joined in on the project too, and it became quite the family affair.

Voila! This how far they got as of today. They are still planning on trimming it out in white, to make it look kind of like a barn. Also making a door in the side. The square in front is going to be a little door that you open, and reach in to gather the eggs. Now we are just waiting for them to lay any day now!

I Love the coop! Hopefully this will help keep them safe from any future neighborly husky accidents.

Looks nice! Isn't it great that the kids love helping with this kind of stuff - they get so excited. :) Eggs - can't wait!
