Nice Catch!

Ryan took Lindsey on a daddy daughter date Friday afternoon, and look what they came back with! Five perty rainbow trout. They had a fun time at Birch Creek, and more fun tonight cooking together for dinner. Yum!!

Singin' in the Rain

If April showers bring May flowers, what do May flowers bring? June Showers! We have had SO much rain this Spring, and it just keeps coming! The lawn and garden are loving it, and so am I because I don't have to water a thing! Yahoo!

Make Yourself At Home Mrs. Birdie

Mrs. Robin made herself a nest on our front door several weeks ago, and has been sitting on one bright blue egg for quite awhile now. She would fly away every time we opened the door, so we finally moved our wreath/nest and hung it on the window. It's been so long (I think it's supposed to take 5 weeks to hatch) since she laid that egg, I'm thinking it may not be planning on hatching , but she still faithfully sits there. Guess we'll see!


Had a fun visit from my beautiful sis and good lookin' bro a couple weeks ago. Was soooo good to see them!!

Teenage Chicks

Well, I had to post a picture of the "ladies". This was a picture from 3 or 4 weeks ago. They are even bigger now, and enjoy nice warm days free ranging it out in the yard. At night they huddle together in their makeshift "coop". We have had one minor (kids took it to be way major) casualty. The neighbor's husky was snooping around early in the day. Later when the kids put the chickies to bed, they noticed one was missing. They frantically searched the neighborhood, and found poor Chicken Licken's head on Miss Husky's lawn. Spencer and Lindsey were so upset they had to put her in a box and bury her. They now have their BB guns loaded, and are anxiously awaiting the return of the big furry predator.

Happy Birthdays!!

Porter and Kami have birthdays 4 days apart, so we've had lots of ballons and cake around here latley!

We have a tradition of opening presents first thing in the morning before breakfast. This is Porter anxiously waiting for dad to get out of the bathroom.


We were all glad Porter requested cheesecake for his birthday! It took us a couple glorious days to finish that thing off!

Kami invited some friends over to do a "pinata". (My easy cheap version...a gift bag filled with candy and stapled shut.)

Lindsey wanted to suprise Kami with a Princess Cake. It was great. All I did was bake the cake, and she had lots of fun decorating it by herself. I didn't have to worry about a thing except making sure the Barbie was properly wrapped in saran wrap.



Fun times....can't believe Porter is now 7, and Kami is a whopping 5!!

Bye Bye Curls!

Dallin went from baby to little boy a couple weeks ago. Cutting off the baby curls always does it. It grows them right up!




He' also been saying some words, and it's so cute. He can say No! (of course) Don't! Want some? Mom! Ticka ticka (tickle tickle)dad,shoe,All Done! Thank You! His favorite thing is to go outside and play!!!

Concrete Rocks!

Well, last month we finally put in a sidewalk and concrete pad! Oh the excitement the morning the trucks drove up. The kids were mesmerized all day as they watched every detail of the driveway making process.







Spencer has always loved tractors. I have pictures of him like this when he was two. On a tractor, beaming with joy.

We had to wait several days until the sidewalk was ready to ride on. The first little while after it was done, we had some windy days. The kids decided to see if they could capture a little wind power and save some energy.

Porter has gotten really fast on his roller blades! Notice in the background the rock garden I've been working on! I'll take a picture when I'm all done.

What a nice new babysitter....Every day the kids are busy biking, scootering, skating, drawing roads with chalk....concrete rocks!
